The best presents we've ever been given had one thing in common. They came with a few handwritten lines that started with our name, and you could tell that someone had stood in a shop thinking about us in particular.

That is what we set out to make easy. The Dear Jane is a small gift box company built around the note. We put together boxes of things that will actually get used, for the seasons and occasions that call for one. You choose a box and tell us what to write.

We copy your words onto a card by hand, line the box with tissue, tie it with ribbon and send it on its way. No price tags, no packing slip, nothing that gives the game away.

Everything in the shop is chosen by us, mostly from small makers, and everything has passed the same test: would we be glad to open this ourselves?
